News From the Designated Pastor Nominating Committee
Welcome to Gary Mears as our new Pastor!
Over the past few months your DPNC has been searching for a new pastor for CPC. The congregation has prayed many times, saying, “… Lord, send us someone who’s greatest joy meets our deepest needs”. We are happy to announce that our prayers have been answered; and that we have found our new pastor. You are invited to welcome Pastor Gary Mears as our new spiritual leader in the narthex immediately following his first service with us on June 12th. As discussed at the service on May 22nd, our search for spiritual leadership in the person of an ordained minister was not bringing results, so the presbytery offered the option of having a Commissioned Ruling Elder as our lead. Pastor Mears answered the call. He has been vetted by the presbytery and the DPNC, and has experience leading and developing other churches. We believe that he very much fits the needs of our congregation in every respect.
